In joined appeals involving Andreea-Maria Tobosaru and Marian Tofan, the Crown Prosecution Service reportedly filed grounds of opposition containing two nonexistent authorities that likely originated from purported generative AI. The citations also appeared in a later document. The High Court said they did not affect the appeals, and the CPS apologized, citing inadequate verification by a reviewing lawyer.

Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd., India's National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) reportedly admitted insolvency proceedings against Essel Infraprojects after relying on six purported precedents later found to be fabricated or materially inaccurate. The appellate tribunal upheld the ruling, but the Supreme Court later invalidated both decisions and sent the insolvency petition back to the NCLT for a new ruling.
