russian propaganda has intensified the spread of disinformation about the alleged preparation for the mandatory mobilization of women in Ukraine.
▫️ Enemy propaganda resources, citing “anonymous sources,” claim that starting from September 1, 2025, the Ukrainian government “plans to mobilize up to one million women.” They also emphasize the alleged “lowering of the age threshold to 18.”
In reality, there are no plans for the mobilization of women in Ukraine. There are no bills in the Verkhovna Rada that propose such changes. There are also no government decisions or statements from Ukrainian officials about mass mobilization of women.
As part of this information operation, as reported by the Center, russian Telegram channels spread deepfake videos, claiming that Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna proposed legally banning women aged 18 to 27 from leaving the country, and that the Verkhovna Rada supposedly supported this initiative.
The goal of these information injections is to sow panic among Ukrainians and destabilize the situation at the home front.
