Youth Representative Raoul Manuel strongly criticized Senator Ronald Bato Dela Rosa and Vice President Sara Duterte for being okay with an artificial intelligence (AI) deepfake video showing youths opposing impeachment.
Manuel insisted that Senator Bato would be better off inhibiting himself as a judge in VP Sara's impeachment trial because if he doesn't know how to analyze a fake video, how will he be able to examine the evidence in a case.
Manuel also stressed that the message Dela Rosa is sending to the youth that it's okay to cheat as long as you get what you want is not a good one because this is the mindset of a thief and a criminal.
Manuel is not surprised that Vice President Sara is siding with Senator Bato in relation to the fake video because he is used to doing everything he can to fool the public.
Manuel cited VP Duterte's alleged invention of fake beneficiaries of confidential funds of his offices as an example.
