Une initiative de reconnaissance faciale, jusque-là tenue secrète et menée par les services de renseignement militaire israéliens, aurait été déployée à Gaza après les attaques du 7 octobre 2023. Selon plusieurs officiers du renseignement, ce programme utilise la technologie Corsight et Google Photos pour identifier des individus à partir de prises de vue aux points de contrôle, dans les foules et sur des images de drones. Le système aurait produit des erreurs d'identification, notamment la détention, largement médiatisée, du poète palestinien Mosab Abu Toha le 19 novembre 2023.
