Scammers allegedly used AI-generated deepfake video, fabricated images, and fake local news articles to impersonate Guernsey Chief Minister Lindsay de Sausmarez and promote a non-existent investment scheme. Authorities reportedly warned that the materials falsely depict her endorsing the opportunity. Police advised residents to disregard the posts and avoid providing personal or financial information.
