Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on 25th December to inaugurate the Delhi Metro’s new Magenta Line, a train running on the same line has reportedly met with an accident. The accident happened during the trial run of the metro. The metro reportedly slammed into a wall. No reports of casualties have been reported. The Delhi Metro officials haven’t issued any statement clarifying the details of the accident as yet. The incident took place at Kalindi Kunj depot. Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Kalkaji Mandir-Botanical Garden corridor of the Delhi Metro (Magneta Line) on December 25. The Magneta Line of the Delhi Metro will reduce travel time between Noida and south Delhi. After the new section of the Delhi Metro is opened, commuters will be able to travel directly to Kalkaji Mandir Metro Station, which is on the Violet Line. Read More…
