Watch as Sydney/Bing threatens me then deletes its message
I’ve argued before that the real achievement of ChatGPT is how it has (mostly) operationalised safety, and avoided scandals like this. Hopefully that happens with Bing. But govts need to be watchful—the risk here isn’t runaway AI, but a potentially deadly tool for manipulation.
Also this one with a death threat. Note the issue is not ‘AI is coming to get us’ but ‘AI will be used at mass scale to manipulate people very effectively’
